Origin Story
Meu Patuá was born from a simple realization: Capoeira students around the world sing in Portuguese for years without understanding what they're saying. This is more than a language barrier — it's a missed cultural opportunity. Meu Patuá transforms this gap into a bridge.
After years of watching capoeiristas struggle to connect with the deeper meanings of the songs they sang, we decided to build a platform that makes Portuguese learning intuitive, contextual, and directly tied to Capoeira practice.

Our mission is to empower Capoeira practitioners with meaningful Portuguese learning rooted in the music and rituals of the roda. We envision a world where everyone in the roda understands what they sing, say, and feel.

We believe language should not be taught in isolation. Meu Patuá teaches "Capoeira Portuguese," using the songs, metaphors, and expressions that already live in your body.
